Amber French August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Silent Parade by Keigo Higashino is one I am excited about and for covers I don't really like people on the cover because for me it distracts me from the background. Nine Lives sounds interesting. Yomu Youkai August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I personally like either illustrated or artsy photos/photo mashes for covers, I don't enjoy just a simple photo like a portrait or something. Booknerd With Lipstick August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I absolutely love the illustrated covers, most often they show a whole setting and from that you can get the ambiance and tone of the book, which we didn't really used to be able to tell from the covers. Rebekah Menn August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Octogenarian… a person between 80 and 89 years old. The "g" is hard like "generation." Anna Elise Teresa August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Currently in the middle of Piranesi by Susanna Clarke and it's giving me MAJOR middlegame vibes – not a new release but I think you'd love it! OneDisgrace August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm It depends on the illustrated covers for me! Obviously some are done well and some are just meh. But I'm not necessarily tired of them. I don't like covers with real people on them at all generally. Covers with a clever design and no people on them are also some of my faves. Melissa Deitrick August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I loveee this idea and am so excited for some of these upcoming books!! Also love the backgrounds of your experiences with the authors past books and your cover remarks hahah Gaby Flores August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I will be VERY upset if Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekannen’s new book breaks the theme of their previous 3 books I prefer illustrated over real people because real people on covers in my mind is reserved for autobiographies, movie covers or really cheesy romance covers NOTHING ELSE Heartbreak-Pudding-Reads August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm FUCK YEAH MY FAVORITE KIND OF VID!! Levi Spinks August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm All for illustrated covers. I hate covers with people on them and I’ll avoid them at all costs Katie Colson August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I slid down to the GROUND when you said Libba Bray is writing a new book. I am so happy. I'm Krizzy reading August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Thanks for throwing in And Then I Woke Up…ima go have some major nightmares 😂🥴 Boho Bookworm August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm So excited for The Paris Apartment!! Also, Colleen Hoover is an auto buy author for me. I can't wait to read Reminders of Him! Get the tissues ready! JediBookMasterIvy August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm The Paris Apartment for Literally Dead Bookclub 🪦 Boho Bookworm August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm There definitely is a trend in thrillers lately involving notes! I've noticed it too. Abi of Pellinor August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Not all of the confusion 😂😂 Alice Horoshev August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I thought it was some sort of pasta with celery on the cover of The Golden couple at first glance and then it hit me – it is a rose😂 Everything by Emily St. John Mandel and Lucy Foley excites me so much, looking forward to buying those books. Renée _ August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm No idea of you've heard of it but I'm really curious about What We Harvest by Ann Fraistat. Gives me major Burn Our Bodies Down-vibes, so I thought it sounded like something you might like as well. Nicole Glasson August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I've read ten books by T. Kingfisher so far and it sounds like I still have another ten to go! She really just smashes them out. At this point, I would read her shopping list. Azyef August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Sea of Tranquility sounds amazing Kerry Kalinoski August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Just added like 5 books to my TBR!! Tara Walker August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm Kayla: This is a story about Scrabble—Me: ADDS TO GOODREADS Regitze Xenia August 25, 2021 at 4:19 pm I don’t know of you’ve seen it, but Dahlia Adler has edited a new retelling-anthology out in 2022, At the Stroke of Midnight, I think this time it is fairytales being retold.
