The Kristen Callihan series is on my TBR. LOVE Kerrigan Byrne so much and all the rep for Sea of Ruin! 🖤 Speaking of unique, I also want to read The Soldier's Scoundrel. It's a HR MM, which is so rare. Have you read it?

FYI…late 1800's would be late Victorian era I believe. I get them mixed up.

What a great idea for a video! I love Laura Kinsale. I think a lot of her books would fit on this list. 🙂

Ritual of Proof by Dara Joy is a unique historical romance that leans towards sci-fi. 😊

I own a copy of Flowers from the Storm but I'm on the verge of just donating it given all the mix reviews I've heard about the heroine being very difficult. I'm on the fence about reading it. But you saying it's a very strange read is scaring me even more. 😂😂

I thought Darkest London series was set in the Victorian era, not the Regency. Like the 1880's or so? Am I misremembering this?

your voice is so calming! I checked this out because I just finished Laura Kinsale's Flowers from the Storm and wanted to hear other people gush over it. To anyone reading this, it is really good and if you have been reading a lot of Historical Romance, it is def a refresher and something you definitely wont want to miss. The stakes and the journey the couple took was such a roller coaster and emotional and gripping but I won't have it any other way.
Christian is just wow. One of the best heroes I have ever read. It takes real strength and fortitude to be able to accomplish the things he has done given his situation. Having grown up religious and having trouble with my faith, I can totally relate to Maddy. If youre still reading this, definitely check out the book!
