I also need the next volume of Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight, there's also Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku which is more of a Josei Manga because it's focused on mid twenties character and it's cute af. Also watched Maid Sama and Tora Dora to. While eagerly away the dub of the new episodes of Fruits Bakset on funimation. Shoujo and Josei manga is the absolute best

speaking of shoujo, you should read wotakoi. it's relevant, everyone's over 25y/o, and (so far) not problematic.

Oh my gosh I'm trash for reincarnation romance mangasss. Like it's overused in manga tropes but damn it never gets old for meee. Ahhh my loveeee for Doctor Elise: Queen with the Scalpel. Like she was a queen, was executed, then became a doctor in modern times, thennn was in a plane crash and returned back to her old life. Knowing everything that is going to happen she decides to save her (very loving) family, becomes a doctor and is just soooo coool! Also the art is sooo pretty and is coloured. And the male lead is just sooo cuteee and like a puppy I swearrrr.

I can't believe I've read all the manga you recommended!! I love how you mentioned Daytime Shooting Star as it is one of my all time favourites 🙂 I love the mangaka's other works as well, especially Tsubaki-Chou Lonely Planet – if you're interested you could check it out, I'm not sure if you still read manga but if you do, give it a shot! It does have the much older guy (10 years or so?) -younger girl dynamic but I love it nonetheless.
On a side note, I've recently discovered your channel and I have to say I really enjoy your content, I don't particularly read many books (i'm more of a manga reader) however I absolutely love your personality and flair when talking about certain books, and how you have such a friendly and mature vibe that you don't see a lot on youtube nowadays. It's very refreshing and I look forward to more content!

I would recommend Red River by Chie Shinohara. Its a long series but quite worth the read! The mc gets transfered from modern day life to Hattusa, the capital of the Hittite Empire in Anatolia.

Fruits Basket will always be my favorite. I love Yuki and Tohru..but I love the motherly nurturing relationship they have. She gave him something he never had as a child. It shows us that a boy and a girl can have deeper relationships than just boyfriend and girlfriend relationship.

I also ship Yuki with Tohru 😔😔 idk why but I would always "get attached" to the "2nd choice" (the character that would've ended up with MC if love interest didn't exist) kinda like how I also like Kyoya (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) it's really hard to live a life where if a person asks who you ship MC with there's a 90% chance you will start a war;;;;

I really like Kyo and Tohru together but I respect your guys’s opinions. I just think Yuki needs someone who can acknowledge his loneliness deep-down instead of viewing him as a prince and putting him on a pedestal. Someone needs to look past the “princely-facade” he puts on. Does he get a love interest? Yes. Is she amazing? Also yes lol. Ok this is honestly a last ditch effort and I'm pretty sure no one is gonna see this, but I started reading NG Life because of this video and I was really into the story but for some reason it's so hard to find copies of this manga?? The scanlations I could find online just dropped in quality at chapter 6 and my local library doesn't seem to have copies and when I look on amazon, each volume is like hella expensive?? I saw one listing that was 80 bucks??? Does anyone know how I can read this manga I just wanna read the story 🙁

Your friend has good taste! I LOVE NG life 😭 and it feels overlooked by readers but it's so funny, so moving, and the ending was bittersweet. It wasn't very long (I think 10-12 volumes) but it was very memorable.

I love how the reason you read the manga is because you ran out of things to read cause i felt that way before too. I was a shoujo based reader until i felt nothing was left anymore and so i ventured into yuri and yaoi 🤣.. i know you said you dont like the teacher x student dynamic but i ate that sh*t up before maybe its because i was young and dumb and thought that nothing is wrong with a grown man having a relationship with a student. One of said manga is titled Faster than a Kiss. I wonder if you came across that one?
