I need the predictability in my reading right now. Romance novels for the win during covid times. Wonderful recommendations❣️

Radiance has been my number 1 romance novel for a while, but I just read Entreat Me (also by Grace Draven) and I think it takes the number 1 spot for me.

I'm reading The Ippos King now & I swear if Anhuset gets her heart broken I'm going to… I don't know. Be sad & disappointed? 🤣 Hoping for the best but I'm unsure of where the story is going. Love this series though!

I’ve barely scraped the genre, I wouldn’t say it’s for me, but two that I really enjoyed reading were ‘Loving Søren’ by Caroline Coleman O'Neill, an historical novel based on the real life relationship between 19th century Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard and Regine Olsen, and also ‘Strange Weather in Tokyo’ by Hiromi Kawakami, set in contemporary Japan.

I adore Proper English! It was the first time I ever felt represented in a romance novel and I thank you for the recommendation 💖💖💖

Have you read The Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics? It's my favourite F/F regency romance!!

When you were mentioning the first book, I IMMEDIATELY thought of The Parasol Protectorate Series by Gail Carriger. A woman "past marriageable age" and who doesn't fit the societal idea of beauty. A truly swoon-worthy romance. Oh and vampires and werewolves. One of my favorite series and I go back to it constantly. It might fit more as paranormal than fully romance but the romance is a large part of it.

Also the Lady Julia Grey series by Deanna Raybourn has a really nice mix of murder and romance.

Also also love your videos! Thanks for all the great recommendations!

If you haven't read A Lady's Guide to Celestial Mechanics or the sequel, The Care and Feeding of Waspish Widows, they're both historical F/F romances that I absolutely loved! There's a lot of really interesting historical background and facts in addition to some really beautiful romances.

A great 6 book series would be the Trewlove family in the Sins for All Seasons series by Lorraine Heath. Highly recommend to read in order, it connects and grows throughout. The last book is its own romance and a wrap up up the family and so good! I also love The Duke and the Baron by Jenn LeBlanc and The Wild Child by Mary Jo Putney. Both deal with sensitive subjects. Happy Reading!

Radiance is a favorite but also enjoyed Linda Howards books Heatbreaker and MacKenzie's Mountain but my all time favorite now and forever has to be 'Whitney My Love' by Judy Mc Naught. 🙂

Tessa Dare is delightful. I love having my Goodreads up when watching your videos to add to my tbr. This month I read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne and the first two in a series about aliens by Hope Hart.

I read Jennifer Ashley’s first book in her other series that’s a mystery series and really enjoyed it. I might have to check out this one too.

In the Mackenzie series that you mentioned, The Many Sins of Lord Cameron and The Wicked Deeds of Daniel Mackenzie are really notable for talking about domestic violence, rape/sexual assault, living with trauma and over coming them (maybe not the best portrayal but yeah). Also Judith McNaught romances are too good. Especially titles such as 'Once and Always' and the Westmoreland books

I'm reading the series by Talia Hibbert, and absolutely adore them – the first is Get A Life, Chloe Brown. Literally finished the second one TO-DAY. I loved the characters, I loved their families, and most importantly I loved how the "challenge" that the characters have to overcome to be together makes sense for their characters and allows them to grow. ugh. I just adore them and they bring me so much joy. SO excited for the third one!

If you like hist romance with some wit and humor, try Eloisa James. She's quite possibly the most gifted hist romance author I have ever come across (and I have read A LOT of hist romance!).

And try the other Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey for some adult fun, high fantasy and drama!

Thanks for the great video. This is the first video I've seen from you (via a link pb Carey's twitter) but it certainly won't be the last. I love that you don't shy away fron the tacky covers! Will be reading Radiance right away! Already downloaded it on my kindle. Thanks!

I love hearing about how people have come to love Romance and what their favourites are. I loved Radiance bt Grace Draven too though I wasn't so blown away by Eidolon. I personally prefer shifter based Romance or contemporary Romance. I recently put up a video talking about my favourite Romance authors xx
