I only enjoy slow burn romance in fantasy because the character have other things happening while the relationship is developing.

Yes, yes to Marriage for One. I really enjoyed this book. Just got The Hardest Fall cause you made it sound so cut. I had Blurred Lines already so I’m moving it up the pile. I’m not sure if I’ve read The Gravity of Us but I have the Elements books and I love Brittainy Cherry. And might swoon, Archers Voice. I love this book so, so much. I looked up Rule but I’ll have to cross my fingers this one goes on sale as it’s more than I pay for ebooks.

yes definitely my fav trope, slow burnnnn…it just gives me so much satisfaction and i love how with slow burn the characters develop better to love each other and love the tension of it as well. my least favourite trope insta love. love p dangelico's slow burn as well and your slow burn list are all the same as mine as well!!

Marriage for one was soo weird and the focus shifted so hard with that weird illness appearance (I don’t consider this a spoiler, as a matter of fact there should have been a trigger warning for this 🙄) and I felt not taken seriously as a reader because of the story telling techniques. Not recommended.
Birthday girl was really good and fun. Pike annoyed me tons of times but that also made him seem more real. Jordan is a great character as well! It’s also very smutty, so that’s great (for me). Recommended! 💞
I‘m still waiting for a book that gave me the feels like The Wall of Winnipeg. 😩 Not even MZ‘s other books gave me the feels like this one.

My favourite is Office romances that are slow burn enemies-lovers. And i LOVE it when it’s single POV where you don’t know how the guy feels so there’s so much mystery, and Mariana Zapata is the only author I’ve seen yet who does this well.

Do you watch Korean dramas? They do slow burns so well! Out of 16 episodes they get to hold hands in like the 10th episode and by the time they finally kiss or admit their feelings it is so satisfying!! You grow to love each person as an individual and you end up adoring the couple in the end!
