I'd never heard of Head Over Heels before, but now I'm excited to read it!
I'm a gymnastics fan so I'm interested to see how the sport gets handled in a romance book.

I am looking forward to Shaun David Hutchinson's "The State of Us". The setting sounds a lot like "Red, White & Royal Blue" but Shaun has this hard hitting style which makes me curious about what he is going to do with such a setting.

real men knit? this puts me off so much. all men are real men. like i get it it's subverting the "real men do sports stuff and are masculine bs". but putting these expectations and pedestals for men in reverse also doesn't achieve much. you can't fight patriarchy with it's own weapons. the whole concept of real men is flawed, it steals them of their humanity and also exempts the 'not real men' from accountability. it's real actual men that practice toxic masculinity and misogyny however much they would like to distance themselves from it by calling one of their own 'not real men' so that they can feel good about themselves.
it's also real men who are kind and conscious of their space and others' space, who knit and cook and read poetry, display positive masculinity. All men are real men.
sorry for the rant.

I haven't really been into romance books for such a long time but then I read The Unhoneymooners this month and I'm so into looking for more romance to fill up my 2020 with (particularly as I'm pretty much only reading thrillers – so I need a little love in my tbr.) I think I'll be picking up Head over High Heels by Lila Monroe for March.

i didn't know hannah was putting out another book but hopefully it's better than her last one! Heard some not so good things about that one. Also, I finished real men knit and it was really lacking with romance but maybe you'll like it better!
