I've read Lingus by MZ. I did like it. The humor in this book is a little on the crude side. Ya know, bathroom humor and such. I know that isn't for everyone but it made me laugh.
As far as other contemporary romance authors go… in my opinion you can never go wrong with Kristen Ashley. My favorite KA books are Lady Luck (Colorado Mountain series, the entire series is so good), At Peace (the Burg series), Law Man & Motorcycle Man (Dream Man series), Own the Wind (Chaos series) and the entire Rock Chick series. I also love her Fantasyland books (especially Golden Dynasty) and the The Three series which is PNR.

I LOVED The Hating Game! It’s one of my favorite books this year. Other books you might like, A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart, and another of my favorites is You Shook Me All Night Long by Simone Harlow

Excellent vid. I have discovered Natasha Anders and every book is better than the last. There is always a major problem that threatens our heroes relationship, her books comes with lots of reality checks and satisfying outcomes (so far). Another author would be Lauren Christopher where most characters are regular to successful people who love the environment. At the moment, waiting for new material from both.

I enjoyed the Wall of Winnipeg but that slow burn can be a little excruciating for me!

LOVE Mariana Zapata. I haven't read Lingus or Dear Aaron (Aaron isn't out on audio yet and Lingus just isn't my thing). I asked her on FB if she'd do a book on baseball and she said maybe. I hope so!
I need a fabulous NA romance so The Hating Game it is!
The only thing I can recommend that I've loved lately is Chasing Swells by A. L. Goulden. She gave me an ARC and I was fairly impressed with – again – that slow burn romance. It's not Kristan Higgins but it's that direction. Speaking of which, looking forward to KH's Now That You Mention It, due out January 2018. I wish she'd continue the Blue Heron series. Loved that one.

Love your take on these authors. Lingus isn't MZ's best or worst, but it is definitely a slow burn and a bit rough going in spots. I think you've read the best MZ books (so far). As for other contemporary romance authors, I would recommend Penny Reid, who has two series that I enjoy, Knitting in the City (set in Chicago) and The Winston brothers (set in Tennessee). Both are examples of solid character building, slow burn kind of romances. I also enjoy Olivia Dade (Librarians in Love is pretty damn good) and Jennifer Dawson, who can take those standard tropes and make it work because the character work is stellar. Kate Canterbary is definitely smuttier than any of my earlier recs but her characters are fantastic and her female heroines are top notch. The type of women who are smart with edges, very funny, very driven and you completely understand why the heroes love them. Happy reading!

I recently read act like it by Lucy Parker, which was really cute. It's set in the London theater scene and has some great banter.

I've also been on a Colleen Hoover kick. I don't exactly love any of her books, it's just that they're very addictive. I probably just need better NA recs.
