Girl, enemies to lovers is always the same shit too. Plus there is the added annoying thing that it barely ever makes sense that the characters hate each other to begin with.

Loved the unhoneymooners, the hating game…I dont think I loved her that much but i also can't remember that much lmao But Im willing to see if this will do it for me like the unhoneymooners did (because I already reread unhoneymooners because FAV romance). I always find it hard to get into romances because I feel like there is not enough action and suspense. I haven't loved a romance story since Fault in our stars really… BUT I love watching you talk about romances… Just really intriguing; love it. I plan on getting into Fine Things by Danielle Steele and I'm going to read The Notebook to see if I will like the book as much as I LOVE the movie 🤞🏼

When I watch videos like this, I so desperately wish I loved reading romance books.The only romance I like in books are the ones where there is barely any romance.As much as I hate a lot of thriller tropes, nothing annoys me more than romance tropes. But I really want to just disappear in a lovely feel good book that will make me believe in love again.It's hard being a cynical bitch 🙁

The last romance that I loved this year is One and only by Jenny Holiday. They're the best man and bridesmaid, she has to 'babysit' him bc of his bad rep, the tension and chemistry are 👌. She's nerdy, he's damaged. Love that.

Also, some romances i really loved this year : Some call it love by Sarah Peis, Bittersweet and Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen, Kind of Cursed by Stephanie Fournet, Head over heels by Hannah Orenstein. I'm currently reading Wild like us by K&B Ritchie, i love this series 💞

I married a best friend , we even got napkins that said,” I married my best friend.” We got divorced. I do have a lovely daughter though. I guess in my journey it had to happen. I’ve been married to my current husband more than 25 years. It is a journey but not just love. Life in itself is a journey. 💕

Same on friends to lovers- you either just hear about their backstory as the past or you follow them from childhood which I also don’t like. I like the angst of enemies to lovers.

One of my Dad's favorites is Eagle in the Sky. I've read it and it's amazing. It's stuck with me ever since reading and I think you'd enjoy it as you have the same taste in books to me 😁💚

You should read "Blurred lines" by Lauren Layne. This is a best friends to lovers trope. But this is so entertaining. For me it was like the Hating game.

I am not a big romance reader, but there is one writer that I just seem to adore all her romances, and that is Milly Johnson. She does the British romantic comedy so freaking well, and I just finished The Birds & the Bees, which had some really good "rivals to lovers" romance.
