I love when this happens though šŸ˜‚ it’s literally what’s happening with me and the house of trash (night) series.

I think bully romances can either be done really well, or reallllly badly! I enjoyed Vicious by LJ Shen and Devious Lies by Parker Huntington!

In theory, bully romances are not good but reading them is so fun. It's just entertaining. I love dark romances.

I love bully romances! To me I treat them like fantasy books. Not real, but they give a place to go run to and escape

Bully romances I enjoyed are from Penelope Douglas. Like Bully, Punk 57 and corrupt. Another book I enjoyed was Paper Princess by Erin Watt.

  10. I have read my first bully romance recently and found because the bullying wasn't dark … I didn't mind it and enjoyed the romance. So … I get it.

If I’m being completely honest, I probably am more immune to bully romance book issues because I’ve been watching Asian dramas all my life and it’s such a guilty pleasure watch. Reading these books reminds me of dramas I’ve seen so it doesn’t bug me as much as I thought it would. Glad you gave some a try. Of course I still have trouble with ML who are too cruel and don’t grovel enough as well. I do love me some bully /dark romances. I’ve just been in that kind of mood recently.

I just recently picked up bully romances and have enjoyed Penelope Douglas and LJ Shen’s books.

I have a hate love relationships with bully trope in romance books. But..BUT…I read this year really addicting series called Zodiac Academy by Caroline Peckham AND I love it… it is very much a la Gossip Girl in fantasy world..It is in KU too.

I can't believe someone here in booktube recommends JL Beck and C Hallman books, I really like these two authors they have this formula that just works for me it's totally trashy and I just love it. I don't read any other bully romances besides these.

Cruel Prince by A. Jade was a five star read for me last year. You should really give it a try.

I don't usually like bully romances. The only one I liked so far was Vicious by LJ Shen. The way you described the bully in Saint is similar to Vicious, so you might like it.
I hated Corrupt by Penelope Douglas, but the third book Kill Switch was entertaining.

Ever since I read Bully by Penelope Douglas I have yet to find anything that can compare. Fear Me by B.B. Reid was decent, but I didn't love it. I wouldn't recommend anyone else honestly because they were terrible. I'm actually not a fan of L.J. Shen so I wouldn't recommend her, everyone recommends Vicious and I didn't care for it (I guess unpopular opinion lol). I think I might give up on bully romances, like maybe I've grown past that trope or authors have just run out of ideas šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I read a lot of Reverse Harem books. The relationship the lead female character has with her men, means there's often a few (or several different types) of relationships going on at the same time with the her. In my latest book (Spark by Sadie Moss), one is flirty and jokey, one is her teacher, one is gentile and formal. But the last guy, they fight, he insults her, she's sure he hates her and she feels she hates him, but when they argue or are training, there's a heat and tension that draws her in. But he also protects her fiercely, which causes her confusion too. I watched your video, because I wasn't sure what was classed as 'Bully Romance' and this character fits. This is what I love about Reverse Harem, that it's not just one thing and all the characters (in a well written book) are well rounded and their own person and so different relationship dynamics and obstacles :o) Thank you!

A lot of the dark bully romances do distinguish between the heroine’s reaction to the bully’s physical/sexual attention on them versus a different jerks hands or attention on them. One makes the heroine hot and bothered, questioning her own sanity, where as she is physically sickened by a different jerk putting their hands on her.

I wonder if these authors are trying to suggest the love-able bully’s behavior is a dysfunctional human reaction to emotional turmoil/pain, and not the actions of a sadistic psychopath.

Hi I do love bully romance but only when the guy isn't sexually harassing the girl or physically. I can't deal with rape or anything like that, it makes me really uncomfortable, especially when the girl let him do things and serve as a slave. I read so stuff like that and it's definitely not my type. I love this kind of romance book where boys/mens are really mean, cruel with the girl and do bad thing but not that far. It's hard to find because there are always rape or something like that. Anyway, thanks a lot for those reviews. Just discovered your channel šŸ˜‰

I love Break Battle Academy series by Ruby Vincent where the heroine pretends to be a boy in a boy’s campus to find her brother. It’s so fun. The characters are always up to something

Any recommendations for a bully romance but the gender roles are reversed, so more like the girl is the school bully and she bullies this nerd but they eventually starts dating (possibly married)?
