Oooo this is so fun! I have read 3 books by Penelope Douglas so far: Birthday Girl, Punk 57 and Credence.
I really disliked Punk 57 and Credence, but Birthday Girl is literally the best romance I have ever read. I ADORE it so much! šŸ’–

I still have 3 books to read (credence, misconduct and tryst six venom) so I don’t wanna rank it yet. I for sure can say kill switch is top 3 without any hesitation.

Read every single one of her books. Love Penelope Douglas so much. She's my 4th fav writer after Sarah J. Mass
Nalini Singh and J. R. Ward.
But her and Kristen Ashley are my No. 1 YA novel authors.
    Can't wait for Hellbent SeriesšŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Great Video. I almost started to reread the Bully series just from listening to you talk about the books. Going to read Tryst. Still haven't read Birthday Girl, I own it, will get to it. I wasn't a big fan of the Corrupt series. At the time it was my first walk on the dark side, since then I have read and enjoyed many darker books so I am sure my impressions would change if I reread it. Sometimes the school, especially the High School Bully trope is hard to take for me, because I feel like growing up is hard enough without the stress of being tortured by a crush. Good writing can make me get past my hesitation sometimes.

Honestly it's been a wild ride for me and PD's books. I started with Corrupt and HATED it. Still do. I gave that one star. Then I think I read Birthday Girl which I also hated. Then I read Bully and Punk57 and I was like …"ok better but not great". And then I read Credence and wtf I LOVED it. I gave it three stars which for me means I really enjoyed a book, and after that I read Hideaway which you and I share similar feelings about . Killswitch though ??? That was a five star read without a doubt. COMPLETELY turned around how I felt about her writing and is the reason why I'm reading Tryst Six Venom right now which I am not hating at the moment . I know I read Conclave but honestly I don't remember it at all lol and there isn't anything anyone can say to me that would make me like Rika. She's not completely annoying but also she really is lol but yeah from what I've read so far I think Killswitch is for sure my number one and then Credence. Those two were just so good to me!

Personally I loved Punk 57 and rate it way higher than Corrupt which was what everyone recommended to me, but I really disliked it! Agree that Birthday Girl is my fave of hers too.

i've read credence, birthday girl and punk 57. i don't know why but the taboo of birthday girl bothered me. i just didn't love it and didn't find it to be a very interesting story. punk 57 was interesting and i liked it. credence even though i felt uncomfortable at times…the story itself is actually pretty unique, i have never read anything else like it and even though i thought to myslef 'WTF' throughtout it..this was a book that i thought about for days after.

When you were prefacing the book that people will probably get mad at for ranking lower, I was so afraid you were going to say Birthday Girl or Credence. I totally agree with the Punk 57 rating, I also didn't love it as much as some other people did.

I just discovered Penelope’s books, and I’m so hooked! I’ve already read 3 of her standalone ones in a span of 2 weeks, and I’m not stopping haha. Her stories are unusual and that’s what I like about it. I’m really excited to dive into Devil’s Night series!
