You picked a lot of my favorites. I love Birthday girl ( Punk 57 is still my favorite from her), Kulti was my introduction to Mariana Zapata( amazing); The king maker duet ( a good read and I love the author), Take a hint Dani Brown was also my first introduction to the author ( amazing book) and it ends with us was sooo groundbreaking and emotional for me. I loved it. It’s still tied with Maybe Someday which was amazing as well. Good choices. 👍🏽 Laís Vianna September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I love Birthday Girl, but my favorite romance it is for sure Paradise – Judith Mcnaught 😍 Zubaer Chaudhari September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Hey Jay G September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Ooo always only you sounds good 👀 Shikha September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Yessss! The gravity of us 🧡But also love Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuka a lil more Gracia Reyes September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I die of curiosity every time people talk about the gravity of us since no one says why it's forbidden. I honestly don't know how i haven't searched for spoilers, definitely need to pick it up asap before i'm not able to resist temptation. Loch's Library September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I still need to read outlander, I loooove that show Znachki Znachki September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am So you know where I'm coming from, I grew up reading Harlequin romances, and thought historicals were dumb. Back then, they were actually real bodice rippers. I generally preferred contemporary romances, until I read a Julia Quinn historical. Now I generally prefer reading historicals. I like fairly quick reads, so I'm not a fan of a slow burn that takes three books. I'm also not big on angst, mafia, motorcycles, shifters or vampires. However, this does not mean that I do not like hot spicy books. Light bondage, ménage, heck yeah. I enjoy romantic thrillers, and I've looked through your videos, and those of a few other people, and I haven't seen anyone mentioning the Trinity Masters or Masters Admiralty series by Mari Carr and Lila Dubois. Each has a romance with an HEA, but there is a through line mystery that spans the series. Am I just out of touch here? jolynn White September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am 🏳️🌈👌🏾👍🦹🏾♂️📕📕📕😍 Raffaela E September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Agree about Outlander. It is amazing. Loved Making Faces. One of my all time favs is Archer's Voice. dins dins September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am It Ends With Us is the book that makes me want to read romance books.. I also cried when I read that😢 tronomagic September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I really like your channel and more than once I’ve read a few of the books that were suggested on here. I haven’t watched every video, but I would be interested in a “Top 9 Suggestions” list of modern fictional romance books that are a stand alone story. These books aren’t part of a series but reveal love between two people contained within one book. I say 9 books because everyone uses 10 so be different!! And the “suggestions” line is so your not locked into your favorite books of this genre and can spread your wings outside a favorite author to share with us. Plus this video already has some of your favs that are one book. 😊 If you’ve already done a video like this please send a link or however YouTube does links so I can watch. Thanks!!! Y F September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am “The Gravity of us”……..dying to read this! procrastinate_create September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I could relate so much, when you said you’re scared of emotions but when you do read them, they end up being some of your favorites. Same here😂 Booked for Romance September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I loved making faces by Amy Harmon and A thousand boy kisses which you recommended. Get the tissues 😭😭😭Thanks for all your recommendations xo She Is An Open Book September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am You’ve made me want to finally start reading Heartsong by TJ Klune! I need to finish the series but you’re making me want to re-read all my favorites!! Ahh loved this video! 💜 UKLeonie September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I re read "The brown sister's" this year, and yep Chole's story remains on my all time list. Taboo and cheating troupes still get a no no in my reading romance, maybe one day. This is the kind of content I love from my booktubers, especially from the romance viewers, so tah luvvy. woobliedoo September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Have you read any books of Jewel E Ann? She has very similar taste in books as you and Jen but she only has 99 followers and I think she deserves more and maybe could you please do a shout-out for her ☺️ Lynn Braden September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Finally… I couldn't remember who had recommended Making Faces by Amy Harmon. I never would have picked that one up on my own, but it was amazing. Five stars – I think I cried all the way through that one and have recommended it to so many people since I read it, but I couldn't remember where I had seen it before. I have also purchased Always Only You, The King Maker series, and Forget Me Not but haven't read them yet. Thanks for the great recommendations. Cynthia Cornett September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Wolfsong is my favorite series of all time. I just finished the series last month and I absolutely fell in love. I'm so glad it made your list. stephanie foster September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Love a good serial_ see Julia Quinn and the Bridgerton family. Paranormals are fun: shifters, vamps, witches, etc. Some great serials I'm currently reading are_ contemporary: The Bromance Book Club (that is the name of the 1st book in the series; I'm getting ready to read #4) by Lyssa Kay Adams; It's about a group of prominent guys in Nashville, who secretly read romance novels and use them as primers for conducting their love lives! I laugh out loud every time. historical: Mary Balogh's Someone to series; just finished book #8- about a family upended by a lie of the patriach. Also, Caroline Linden's Searching for a Duke about a dynasty that had to search the twigs of the family tree for the next heir. Just read books 2 and 2.5; waiting for #3. And finished the Duke dynasty series by Sabrina Jeffries about a woman who married 3 dukes and her ducal offspring. Just finished Sarah Maclean's Bareknuckle Bastards- talk about angst! On the erotic side, there is Samantha Kane with her Brothers in Arms (up to #13- I think) All these authors have done multiple series; there are many others but these are my most recent. paranormal: anything by Shelly Laurentsen. I'm getting ready to read book 4 of her Honey Badger Chronicles, which is a spinoff of her vast shifter world with lions and tigers and bears_oh,my. 😁 Check it out. Erotic shifter worlds include Kate Douglas' Chanku, but she also did a more mainstream paranormal series. These are some of my reading picks… hope you like them 🤗 Daniela Tissoni September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I fell in love with Jordan and Pike from Birthday Girl!!! Macluna September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am Omg where is your sweater from?! Jennifer Shiflett September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am You have to read The Silent Waters! Thanks a lot Sharnett Thomas-Barker September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am You don't reread books? Then why the large book collection behind you? Charlotte Mae Tan September 16, 2021 at 12:55 am I love 8 out of the 10 books! Most of those I discovered because of you too! Forget Me Not was such a ride! It Ends With Us is like a romance staple. ❤ My all-time fave will probably still be Archer 😂 but like you, my taste has evolved.
