It’s about a woman who can only get off role playing rape due to her past. Her and someone else strike a deal and it turns into something more. There is a second book as well called Begging for it ! Also How to keep a secret by Sophia Kinsella. I laughed out loud on this one, great summer audiobook if you can get it. Added some of yours to my TBR. Good luck 👌✌🏻!! Marianne O July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am The Beekeepers Promise and the Dressmakers Gift by Fiona Valpy are beautiful. They have a historical romantic element throughout but aren't strictly romances. They switch between Nazi occupied France and modern day with two sisters talking with younger women about their experiences during WW2 and they're so beautifully written. I'd read her The French For… series as well as the two sisters feature in those books as well. Again all three of those are romances as well. Oh, and if you like Taylor Jenkins Reid, I'd pick up The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. F/F, M/F romance, again a historical romance, beautifully written. All of the books mentioned made me cry 🤣❤️ Jay G July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I NEED TO PICK UP BIRTHDAY GIRL 😅 Reading With Jess July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Thanks for the recommendations. I haven't read Coleen Hoover yet, but I'm excited to! alittlewriterem July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I have Birthday Girl on my kindle but I haven’t picked it up yet!! This was such a good list of books 😍 Barbie Sutherland July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Love colleen Hoover and read Nov. 9 and have Birthday girl on my list and have Taylor Jenkins Reid books on my list! read itsactuallycat July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Romance is my favourite genre, but I get so frustrated because so much of it has problematic relationships, abusive themes and insta love. Colleen Hoover is actually one of the authors I go back and forth on because I love her writing style, but some of her early stuff was so icky and problematic to me. But I did enjoy some of her later stuff (It Ends With Us and Regretting You). I haven’t read the Colleen books you mentioned so I’ll give them a go because I do like her writing. I will definitely try out the others books you recommended too. I loved Evelyn Hugo so would love to read more from Taylor Jenkins Reid. Birthday Girl and On the Island sound intriguing! TheSweetieDarling July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am The only Colleen Hoover book I’ve read is Verity (freaking loved it) and I’m curious if Too Late is more in that vein. I don’t like romance that’s sappy or really sad. I either like romance that’s also suspense or a quick and dirty. 😂 I need to read Birthday Girl- it’s been on my kindle for a couple months. Mrsbooklover July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Great video thank you, two romances that centre around a married couple are The bromance book club and love her or lose her by Tessa bailey xx acciobiblio July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Maybe In Another Life is one of my ALL TIME favorites!!! And One True Loves is SO good! TJR is just amazing… Nov 9 was my first CoHo book!! (I read it last Nov, lol) 😍 I hadn't heard of Too Late! Added to my TBR! Birthday Girl is so good!! As was All the Ugly and Wonderful Things!!! Those both surprised me with how beautiful they were. After I Do, Eleanor & Gray, and All Your Perfects are on my TBR!❤ Had never heard of On the Island!! Just added to TBR! 😍 Tarrell Bellinger July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Great recommendations! Colleen Hoover is one of the best romance writers working today and all her books do NOT disappoint. Do yourself a favor and read everything she's written. You'll be better off for it. Here are my all time favorite romance reads in no particular order: The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks; A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks; The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks; The Fault in Our Stars by John Green; and I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. Let me know what you think. Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Week! I have a random question for you. What are your thoughts on the lack of male authors in the romance genre? Emily Rogers July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Tfs your recommendations! Desi Nicole July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am You need to read You were there too— married couple, another life, infertility troubles 🥰 Jess July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I love TJR and CoHo! I also love marriage love stories and the only other one I can think of that's not mentioned in the comments is Landline by Rainbow Rowell which I'd recommend! Sassycatz July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am It's funny, Two of the books you recommended remind me very much of two movie plots. Hoover's November 9 reminds me of a movie made in the late 1970s called Same Time, Next Year. And Reid's One True Loves reminds me of the 1940s My Favorite Wife although the latter is definitely a comedy and was remade in the 1960s and retitled Move Over Darling. Anyway, romances featuring married couples — some of these will be quite old.Tara Taylor Quinn's Becca's Baby – wonderful Harlequin super romance involving a couple in their 40s who had been trying to have a baby for many years, gave up, and then all of a sudden the wife gets pregnant, which leads to much emotion and conflict.Sherry Thomas' Private Arrangements (historical)Joan Wolf's The American Duchess (Signet regency)Liane Moriarty's What Alice Forgot Marilyn Pappano's Some Enchanted Season (X-mas romance, cheating involved)Fay Robinson's Mr. & Mrs. Wrong (another older Harlequin) Ilia The Bookworm July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Birthday Girl is on my tbr and I'm so excited to read it. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂 I've read Evelyn Hugo by TJR and i loved it! I might have to pick up her other books. Eleanor & Grey looks so good. The cover is so pretty😍 Piya Chakma July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am You should read before we were strangers by Renee carlino..it is also a great love story book..u will like it😊 Lizzy_ playz July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am You should definately read mr. and mrs. by alexa riley Nicole Kawa July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Did you see the movie Sliding Doors with Gwenth Paltrow? Same concept as Maybe in Another Life. Just Key July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I feel in love with TJR's writing about 2 years and just recently read Maybe in Another Life and there were tears. I loved Birthday Girl which took me about almost 2 years to read, but I ended up loving it. I have Too Late on my ebook TBR. Dustin Josjor July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Love November 9! The first book I read by Colleen was It Ends with Us. One of my top favorites Ridha Amalia Nur July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Thanks for your recommendation!! I am putting the 'One True Loves' and 'Maybe in Another Life' on my TBR now. And while watching this video, i finished the first chapter of these 2 books. I have a good feeling that I'll like these 2 babieees <3 Book Bugg July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I have One True Love and All Your Perfects on my bookshelf so I’ll def pick these up for your romanceathon! I’ve been dying to read Maybe in Another Life though 🤔 might have to add this one in too Vicky Shultz July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I've been reading for a long time now and of course I have my favorite genres and my fav within each genre. You didn't indicate that you read very much Historical Rom, but I'll keep watch on your future posts and see if there are that you are interested in. Anyway…. here are my favorite (at the moment) romances. "Me Before You" by Jo Jo Moyes plus the second and third of that trilogy, "After You" and " "Still Me". Bring some Kleenex with you , or make your own since we are in this pandemic. There should be certain times in life when people should not officially and emotionally be able to fall in love. These books prove the point. Anyway, these three books will have you tossing at night thinking, well, but wait, what if she …. They are quick reads because they're hard to put down. Just the opposite… OUTLANDER … is a series of 8 books, so far, (with a promised 9th and 10th in the works). There are also many side books and some novellas about a relative of the family that kind of lets us know what's happening in Scotland when "all" are living in North America, etc. Anyway, these books are so fresh, full of detail and rich with love, family love, neighborly love, and of course there is the Main Romance, a love so strong and powerful that time is traveled, and love proves to be stronger than any science as yet known to man. If you don't mind some war chapters thrown in, this could be the romance series for you. It certainly is the favorite of millions. Lisa Jewell is another favorite romance writer that has become one of my favorites this year. "The Girls in the Garden", "The Family Upstairs", "Watching You". and "I Found You" are some of my favorites. There are also some some historical romance writers that I love, too. Nancy E. Turner is a great one, as is Phllippa Gregory (The Tudors) and other 16th and 17th century books. Good look and good reading in your future! Vicky Shultz kegla 7 July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Loved this video and your recommendations! Subscribed! raelenedawn July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am On The Island is one of my absolute favourite books, I think I’ve reread it more than any other books! November 9 also become a favourite of mine as soon as I read it. I just found your channel, and I’m super excited to check out more of your recommendations! Libri Labra July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am The Intermission by Elyssa Friedland sounds a little bit like After I do. Julie Srail July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am If you want married couples' romances Marie Force has a long series set on Gansett Island that has a new couple for each book, but touches back on the marraiges and relationships the series has started previously. Cersei Sandalwood July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I know this is kind of random but I do not like when i read a romance book and then they have children. I feel it takes from the romance and then turns into a parenting book. Does anyone else agree? Adarsh Tripathi July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Nice sweetredhead72 July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Outlander series, of course, is one that is great for a book about married life. The Bronze Horseman series by Paullina Simon is great and the 3rd book The Summer Garden in the series is a wonderful look at what married life is like after the initial excitement is gone but the deep love remains. Also, in book three the couple deals with infertility which you would like. You have to read the first two though to really understand where the characters are coming from in book three. Jennifer Smyth July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am I loved On The Island , too ! Surender Beniwal July 4, 2021 at 3:27 am Books mentioned: -November 9 -Birthday girl-After I do-Maybe in another life-One true loves-All your perfects -Too late-On the island-Eleanor & Grey-All the ugly and wonderful things Leave a ReplyYour email address will not be published.
