Thanks for the update Kelli! Has the delay on getting your first novel out there been in editing, writing, story idea, re-fining, all of the above?

Hooray! I followed you on low content books and published a few lcb’s dealing with writing… but my passion is writing historical fiction and Middle-grade sci- fi fantasy (this genre I write with my grandson.) I even have gone laterally with an Etsy shop that sells things the characters in my book use! For a grandma that’s entrepreneurial! Lol. So happy you will be talking writing and publishing fiction. You are a sweetheart!

Thanks for sharing – really relate to the drop in income (compounded by kick in the * when I see many others doing so well during this time!). I'm also looking at branching out, looking forward to your future videos 🙂

suggestion: Look to see what your readers liked about your books. And see how they acquired your book and focus on that channel

Gray kitty cat for ALL future videos! Best wishes with this venture…yeah it sounds like your GW is very slow. A writer working diligently every day should be a lot quicker.

Hi, Kelli, I am a low content book publisher, but I am also a romance novelist. I had published a few books, but they didn't do all that well. So I decided to unpublish and rework them; to which I am doing. I write my own books. I do not use a ghostwriter. I have been watching two people out here on YouTube who have amazing advice for writing romance and other genres if you want to check out their channels: They are: "The Courtney Project" & "Sarra Cannon". Also, study the Mikkelsen Twins. I know you own their course. They talk about romance audiobooks being huge sellers. When I had originally published, I only did my books in paperback and ebook, but I've decided when I finally RE-PUBLISH my books, I will definitely make sure they are in audio. The two most important things I've learned from Sarra Cannon are advertising a book with an impressive hook line at the beginning of your ad; along with a great book description. You should go out to amazon and just read romance descriptions on books. Then, ask yourself as you read them would you buy this book and why, if not why not? One thing I've discovered when doing this is most romance writers are writing the same old, same old, and when reading reviews readers comment on this a lot and how they wish romance writers would do something different. (P.S. I'm glad you are taking your channel in this new direction).

Romance has always been slow for me. My erotic stuff flies off the shelf as well as poetry.

It's nice to see your last two (this one and the one that followed) pop up on my feed. Sorry it took me so long to get to it. Writing your own books always takes more time than you realize. This can happen even when you are fully motivated. It's wonderful to see you're not harping on the time it's taking you but continuing forward.
I can't wait to see where you're taking the channel and the brand 🙂

What is the cause of the delay in getting out the book? Writer problems or is it something on your end?
