Weirdest movie I've ever seen (which I think was based on a book) was Shape of Water. SUPER WEIRD

Brilliantly said. I never realised there were so many types of romance novels. My auntie collected Mills and Boon in the 1960โs. She read two each week and had crates of them. Oh how I wish that Iโd kept that collection. (to sell.. obvs๐).

Thanks for the video Mel – is that the one you mentioned the other night you were a bit worried about? It is well known that the written word can be more stimulating than explicit images ๐

Great video Mel. You will need to do a follow-up and expand on those sub-sub- genres – hopefully they won't be deemed as Adult-only by eBay when it comes to sell.

Great video lol, love the way you presented that ๐ I shun romance novels at the op shops, maybe itโs time for a different perspective ?.? ๐ค ๐

Very well researched and bang on topic. Our best selling contemporary romance genre are Australian rural, outback, high country etc. Usually girls wearing akubra hats on the cover.
Ladies are also after some chick flicks to relax and unwind with after a hard day of home schooling. You can tell a chick flick by the white covers.

I will be keeping an eye out for these books for sure!! i had no idea there were so many different types!!! I had to laugh to myself as I thought of my nan she shops these books at the thrift shops for years. The funny thing is when my grandpa was alive he told me that when they were dating in the 1950s he walked to her door with a big bunch of flowers. Then he saw the curtain twitch and she dragged him inside slammed the door and told him off. Never do that again!! she said, as the neigbours would have seen him and they would talk about her LOL!! Yet she reads those romance novels non stop LOL!!!. Anyhow once again great topic! ๐
