Great selection…I also recommend J.M. Darhower (Sempre, Monster in his eyes, Menace), Borden by R.J. Lewis and Cole by Tijan

I have read 5 of the Born in Blood series. I really only liked Luca and Aria's story and Growl's was ok. Matteo and Gianna were my favorite characters but I was so disappointed with their book and Liliana's book was so boring.
I've read all the Camorra Chronicles. I liked Remos book but Fabiano's book is my favorite. Guess I have a thing for enforcers 🙂 Have you ever checked out Sarah Castille? I read one of her Ruin and Revenge Series and enjoyed it.

The Made series is sooo good. They just kept escalating for me. I can't wait for more.

Also… when I heard, "it's starts out rough." I am ready to go!

I need to read Ruthless People very soon.

I can't remember if I saw the Filthy Feckers by Serena Akeroyd in a previous video of yours, but those ones are Irish Mafia and I am in love so far.

Also, I started Kenya Wrights Dirty Kisses and I am enjoying that too.

Did you read Advantage Play series by Kelsie Rae? I love them. It is a dark mafia romance and five books in a series.

Yes! I thought I'm the only one who didn't like the Twisted Emotions that much, because let's be honest that book pacing was so slow, and It's understandable considering Kiara's horrendous past but the first 70% are nothing, it's just boring and no romance at all. Also the writing style for the first half was so dry. Nino's characterization is the only saving grace of the book. And I agree that the first half of Cora Reilly's books set the storyline with zero builds up of romance or chemistry between the main characters. Romance didn't kick in not until the last 70% or so, and for those reason, it's hard for me to feel the authenticity of the relationship, even the connection because it felt rush and bland.

I couldn't get into ruthless people even though it's got all the things I usually love in a mafia romance. Love the boston series and the the sweetest oblivion.
I really don't like Cora Reilly books. Her heroines always seem to be a bit whiny/weak. I really think her books are overhyped.

Omg I LOATHED royal bully. Where was rvd’s editor?? I’ve read two other books by her and hated them as well.

You’re going to want to read Twisted Bonds. It helped me to really like Nino as it gave him more page time to shine. Twisted Pride is still my favorite Cora Reilly book.

Kenya Wright's Lion and the mouse series is great for dark mafia romance. Also, Sam Mariano knows how to write a really great dark romance. They are not for the faint of ♥ though, but are very steamy. If you like a little RH with your mafia then Cora Lee June's Sunshine and the Bullets series is excellent. Rachel Van Dyken just falls flat for me for the most part, reads a little too NA for my taste. Cora Reilly is OK. She's just very hit or miss for me.

Ruthless People I did not finish, I just didn't enjoy Melody's character all that much. I loved Bound by Duty as well as Dante and Valentina's second book Bound by the Past. I love a cold brooding hero. It was interesting to read his POV in the second book. I didn't like Nino and Kiara's books. I don't get the hype about Nino. Their story was a bit boring for me. Remo on the other hand I loved all throughout the entire series. Twisted Pride was a great book.

Isn’t it weird how Cora Reilly’s writing can be SO different from book to book? It’s honestly confusing. lol!

I’m glad you found one of her books you liked! I think you mostly read the best ones. The next book in the Born in Blood series is about Gianna, Aria’s sister and she’s annoying af. lol

I love Ruthless People and the Sweetest oblivion. However, I would not recommend the spinoff for Ruthless People. It nearly ruin everything for me 😭

Love how you talked about about the made series, it's my new all time fav!
I liked ghost better than the previous ones too, but I guess I have a soft spot for reaper because of how damaged he was.
I started Cora Reilly from Lucas book, honestly I found the audiobook and that's the reason I could finish bound series. I had heard good things about the Camorra chronicles and the set up the author made in her books, I was curious. I liked the family dynamics in the Camorra series. Love reading and rereading Kiara and Ninos stories because twisted bonds picks up immediately after twisted emotions, so we see bit from twisted pride, Nino's emotions and my favourite, the sweetest relationship that develops between Kiara and Remo. Waiting for the final book to come out.

Hi. I wanted to recommend some mafia romances I loved. The first is a six book series by Sophie Lark starting with Brutal Prince. They can be read as standalones. I’ve read the first five books (the first two were my favorite). My other recommendation is Beautiful Carnage and Beautiful Savage by Caroline Peckham. You have to read those in order. Beautiful Carnage is quite good but I absolutely LOVED Beautiful Savage. I’d love to know what you think of them. If you read them, please let me know.

Aria was my least favorite heroine in cora reilly’s books and I definitely like the comorra chronicles better, because the bound in blood series just seemed very repetitive. And the g in famiglia is not pronounced btw lol.

Who do u think the new book from the sweetest oblivion series will be about?

    July 21, 2021 at 8:05 am

I struggled with Reilly as well. For me, only Twisted Emotions hit that sweet spot, the rest kind of meander around 3 stars.
As for a recommendation, The Lion and His Mouse by Kenya Wright gives a bit of twist on it, focusing only on one couple throughout the main series.

OMG I love mafia romance! I've read all of the ones you featured! If you enjoyed Danielle Lori's Made series, you definitely should check out Runyx's Dark Verse series. Sorry I'm raving but I just finished reading them 😍 The men and the vibes are 🔥 🔥 🔥

Same! I love the Made Series too. Can't move on ❤️ Without making Nico and Ronan less, Christian is my favorite!! I thought I'm all about Nico too but then Christian came and that's it. Haha it was definitely an easy 5 stars for all 3 books. And yes I'm definitely getting the paperbacks too. ❤️

Camorra chronicles is better and superior than bound by blood series. and no one can tell me otherwise 😤

    July 21, 2021 at 8:05 am

not a hate comment just wanna say that that is not mafia, mafia is a tragity that kills alot of innocent and good people as for example Paolo Borsellino Peppino Impastato and Giovanni Falcone. and millions of others. so when you indulge in a book like this you have to remember that in real life its not like in the books.
