Another Podcast I love is Ice Planet Pod which is a podcast strictly for the Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon. I love listening to podcasts and I've been trying to find more book podcasts, I'll definitely check out the ones you mentioned in this video, especially Fangover. Paranormal romance is my favorite to read 🙂 Francesca Graziella August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am Omg thank you so much for mentioning The Fangover 🥰🥰 I would also mention Smart Women Read Romance (that also has an author host), What to Read Next, Audibly Addicted, Lit Wallflowers Vamps Rock August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am I've discovered loads of these this year, but you've added a few I've never heard of before. And PNR is my jam… I could give you a boatload of recs of all types (because PNR is diverse as a sub-genre), including loads by black indie authors if you are interested. TFS 🙂 PS It would be really helpful if you could list the ones you mentioned in your description box if possible please. TIA. remarkablylisa August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am honestly i only listen to kpop podcasts but I always wanted to listen to romance ones!!!! there's also tea and strumpets that is historical romance focused SomeBunny Reads August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am I don't read romance, but I love the idea of recommending podcasts!!! Zwischen tausend Zeilen August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am Love your lipstick 😍 I really enjoy Jessen and Juliette (niece and aunt) from Smart Women Read Romance. They have a nice mix of specific book talks and episodes on more genre-related topics (heros, tropes, pet peeves etc.). I also appreciate the "political" stuff SBTB write and talk about (publishing industry-related discussions), they are pretty unique in that aspect. Vamps Rock August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am As I said before… if you have questions about any of them please let me know 😊. Ok, so here's a boatload of titles (mostly Indie with the majority being IR) written by black authors – some of which are on KU. Some are heavier thematically/tonally than others, some are a bit older, some are funny (most are not) some are good (some are not so good) and some are still on my TBR, BUT they are out there for those that want them; Gargoyles The Provider (MM) by Mya Lairis, Gargoyles Series (3 books) by Nia K. FoxxVampires Urban Vampire (4 books) by Pepper Pace, Vampire Huntress (12 books + novellas) by L.A. Banks, Witch For Hire (3 books, vamps & witches) by Shyla Colt, Fledgeling by Queen Octavia E. Butler, Not If You Were the Last Vampire On Earth by Cara Coe, Let Them Eat Stake by Jeanie Johnson & Jayha Leigh (this one is utter nonsense but is such fun and absolutely hilarious)Shifters True Mates (7 books) by Zena Wynn, Eshu Chronicles (2 books) by Roslyn Hardy Holcomb, Haven (2 books) by Nia K. Foxx, The Verochka Pride (3 books) by Nikki Winter, Bear with Me by Lucy Eden, Moonlight Saga (2 books) by Violette Dubrinsky, Crimson Moon (6 books) by L.A. Banks, Other SFF Eva Mensah duology by Billy London, Angel Over My Shoulder by Pepper Pace, Adaptation (2 books) by Pepper Pace, Asira Saga (2 books) by Chevelle Allen, African Immortals (4 books) by Tananarive Due, Spirit Guide (2 books) by T.J. Michaels, The Black Parade (5 books) by Kyoko M., Of Cinder and Bone (3 books) by Kyoko M., Xenogenesis (3 books) by Queen Octavia E. Butler, The Last Mermaid by Aleera Anaya Ceres, Children of Clay (4 books) by Ono Ekeh, The Cupid Guild (4 books) by L. Penelope, Angelborn (2 books) by L. Penelope, Standalones various titles by Gisele Walko, various titles by Billy London, Mating the Huntress by Talia Hibbert (her only SFF and it's stabby stabby hilarious), The A.I. Who Loved Me by Alyssa Cole (her only SFF), Protected by a Dragon by Anastasia Chase, … and there are so many more out there. And once you get looking for them on amazon, you will get more and more recs that are similar in your feed (unlike YT). Also, if you want pure fun and a ton of belly laughs, Shelley Laurenston is (I think, but I could be wrong) a white author who also includes black and other POC MCs (but sadly no black male MC yet) unapologetically in her books. She writes shifter series and has a distinctive style where she includes multi pov, high octane utterly ridiculous chaos; and when I say watch a video about actual honey badgers are like in the wild and then go look up her Honey Badger Chronicles (for example) on Goodreads you might see what I'm getting at… she writes the characteristics of the various animal species into her shifter characters when they are in their human form and it is HILARIOUS. No wilting virgins or Stockholm syndrome or bullying or any of that nonsense. In fact, her females are quite often deadlier than the males! And for a beautifully written and mega angsty study of humanity and found family (among other things) wrapped up in a MM werewolf story, you should try Wolfsong by TJ Klune – the first in the Green Creek 4 book series with werewolves and witches. TJ is a white queer author but includes quite a few POC characters in his books in various genres, many of which I've not yet read.😊 hotwheels7459 August 26, 2021 at 6:32 am I am a member of 2 great Facebook groups for podcasts1.podcasts we listen to 2.
