Andre Smith September 20, 2021 at 4:15 pm Can’t wait to read the Charm Offensive! Have you heard of the book “The End of Eddy” by Edouard Louis? It’s not romance but I think it’s a super good emotional gay novel Zhivko Petrov September 20, 2021 at 4:15 pm I recommend everything by Pajtim Statovci. His books are literary fiction, they are translated from the Finnish language and are critically acclaimed treasures. He receives awards for them, and he is like a superstar in his county. His latest novel 'Bolla' was just translated into English, my personal favourite is 'My Cat Yugoslavia", but they are all sooo good. So highly recommended. Zhivko Petrov September 20, 2021 at 4:15 pm Also 'Guapa' by Saleem Haddad – it follows a day in the life of Rasa, a young gay man, in an unnamed Arab country. Its coming of age story set in Middle East and it's soo good. Saleem is one of my favourite authors, a fiercely talented human being and a wonderful person. S Torres September 20, 2021 at 4:15 pm Though the movie was perfection, i thought Call Me By Your Name was a horrible read for me. The Archive September 20, 2021 at 4:15 pm Most of these I haven't heard of, which is awesome, so I'll need to keep an eye out for them. I hope you get to The Hearts Invisible Furies soon. I read it earlier this year and it's my new favourite, it's sooo good! In One Person by John Irving is also pretty good; there is trans rep and bi rep. It's just a smashing story really. Anyhoo thanks for the recommendations, Matthew Lady Lauren Explorer September 20, 2021 at 4:15 pm Omg I have so many recommendations that you might like: Prince (house of misfits), an unexpected kind of love, the queer principles of Kit Webb, anything but fine, here the whole time, we contain multitudes, and like so much more. After your explanation of Yes, Daddy, I decided not to read it. So thank you for giving me the heads up. I hope you enjoy some of my picks and if you want some more recommendations I’m willing to give them! Leave a ReplyYour email address will not be published.
