I feel like I find something new to think about or talk about every time I watch your videos. Once it was books I'm glad I didn't buy books and why, then it was the importance of having conversations, the type of conversation, and who I'm having that conversation with. Now it's "do people that read/watch romance have high romantic and sexual expectations?" Maybe, I don't know. I'm just going to sit and think about it. This also reminds me of a book I read last year called Waiting for Tom Hanks. The main character watched a lot of rom-com movies and shows which created rules/expectations that she really believed should happen/should be in her future husband. The problem with that is she was closing herself off from men that could've been great for because she was so set on Mr. Perfect.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I have been really wanting to get into romance this year so this was a great video for me 😊 the only one I have read so far was The Kiss Quotient which I enjoyed but I did like the second half of the book more when we got to know the characters back stories.

You know what would have been a great company to sponsor this video?

I think humor is my top requirement for a main character. Though snarky humor, above all else. I do love my snark.

I just requested my library get The Bromance Book Club. There's ever the chance it won't be for me, but just the plot itself makes me want to give it a chance. It was the same way with Well Met, but unfortunately it started out too stereotypically for me to keep going. It's me, not the book.

I feel like I am one of the only people who didn't really like and had some problems with Unhoneymooners πŸ˜…
2019 was such a good year for romance books for me, though. My favorite book of the year was Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer, hands down. I also discovered Kasie West and read like 4 or 5 of her fluffy romances in a row.
Currently I'm reading the Flatshare by Beth O'Leary and it's awesome! πŸ’–

Hope you feel better soon! I like characters that I can relate to, but also totally different from me, so they need to have a specific vibe I think. I like romance books, but only if there isn't any sex in them (or not explicit), because I'm asexual and it doesn't do anything for me. So I like romance recs, but most of the time I don't know if I can read them. Which ones could I read from this video?

I love humour in fantasy books. Normally because the themes can be dark having a character with a great sense of humour just makes it for me

Also book boyfriend is Pike from Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas β™₯️

2019 was the year of romance for me as well! I dove into paranormal, but most of these are on my radar.
