I have a question that I really wish I could get an answer to. I stopped reading historical romance completely, cause 99% they're mass market paperback, very bad quality, rarely floppy they're very stiff and hard to keep them open & the spines get cracked. This causes pain and stiffness in my muscles & tendons plus I've noticed they're mostly not even Amazon exports, they just don't care about them. Why no one cares about the quality of historical romance books Crystal?

I always say "Hero" and "Heroine" because I consistently forget names… even while reading, never mind a month later.

I gave Blue-Eyed Devil 5 stars, but I had a problem with it. There was no trigger warnings for rape on page and domestic abuse. I can read those elements if I know it’s in the book ahead of time, but when it occurred in the book, it brought me back over ten years ago when I was married to man a lot like Nick. Content warnings are very important. The five-star rating is because of the growth of Haven, Jack Travis and the Travis family, and the romance between Hardy and Haven. Also, you should know that Sugar Daddy is really good. It is more women’s fiction than romance, but the romance between Liberty and Gage. Hardy has a large roll in Sugar Daddy. I loved the book, so it was a 5 star read as I liked Liberty a lot. Let me know what you thank about Sugar Daddy!

Hi Crystal! I love your videos, I seen you wasn't in Savage Lover by Sophie Lark. You know my way into Mafia Romance World, I started with Sempre series by J.M. Darhower, I fell in love with her writing, I know its older books but, it seems she stop writing for some reason and I truly wish she didn't . I hope you would give those books a try,
    they are rereads for me.

Bombshell is definitely on my TBR. Blue-Eyed Devil is my favorite Kleypas contemporary, and one of my all time favorite contemporary romances. Are there really people who don't like Lisa Kleypas?!? I don't think I know any of those people. πŸ˜‚ Devil in Winter is my favorite from the series(as well as an all time favorite historical romance), but I love Lillian and Marcus' story too.Such an amazing series. Her Ravenels spin-off series is just as excellent too. Chasing Cassandra is chef's 😘. I just started Devil in Disguise. You've sold me on Transcendence. Getting some Ice Planet Barbarians vibes-just sounds less campy. 😜 I'm in. I remember liking Firelight, but it's been such a long time since I've read it that the details escape me. I feel like I need to re-read and then continue with the series(which I originally planned to do, but… πŸ˜‚).

Transcendence is the only book besides Hello Stranger that made me cry and it's not like when the eyes tear up, but I mean actually crying.

Hey Crystal. I also just read The Devil of Downtown (and the Prince of Broadway just before it) and surprisingly it was my favourite of the trilogy. Jack was also my fav of the three men but as much as the third act break up DID devastate me, it also made sense to me because of the reason and it fit with the character's belief system. And I loved so much how they were reunited because it subverted the usual 'hero' trope we see most of the time. Another thing that I really loved with this was how Justine's virginity was a non-issue and not glorified in any way😘.

On another topic, I'm so jealous of all you audio folks, they just really don't work for me other than the occasional non-fic. Oh well. TFS πŸ™‚
