I REALLY wanted to love this book. This is one of those books where the story just seemed to get away from the author. I'm glad you finished it. I was worried you wouldn't after bringing it up briefly on Tuesday's patreon. Also, your make-up is smokin' in this video. Blayde_Warrior July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm You are such a joy to watch! I enjoy listening to you talk about books so passionately❤ and I love the forced proximity trope too, sets up the stage for some really good heart-throbbing, spark-flying kind of action and chemistry 😍😂 Also I know what you mean about the super experienced guy teaching the insecure girl trope getting frustrating. I really would just love to read more self-assured female characters. Characters who are confident in their appearances, weights and prowess in bed- even if they have very little. Like I'd love to just read about a virgin main character who is perfectly alright with being a virgin at any age and is still confident, strong and amazing, and then when she meets someone she really likes, ends up just as confidently giving her virginity up to that person. That would be nice for change instead of the typical insecure, klutzy, hot mess of an female lead who hates everything about herself and needs a constant influx of compliments about her beauty or other good qualities to keep her going. Idk that's just my opinion, confident female leads are such a pleasure to read about. Also gosh I'm sorry for the super long comment. Loved this video! Thanks a lot hon! ❤ Joy Phinney July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm I love your lipstick! What's it called? I've been looking for a lighter coralish lipstick and haven't been able to find one. Crystal's Bookish Life July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm You do such a good job of breaking down what you like and dislike about books. The roommate sounds …not great lol. Nothing Better Than a Book July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm Love hearing your detailed thoughts about books! I had high hopes for the Roommate, but not I'm not so sure lol. Thanks for your honest reviews! francesca dalida July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm I recommend “The Flatshare” by Beth O’Leary, if you’re going to have a part 2 of this reading mini-series Caitlin Whitley July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm I agree about The Roommate. I wanted it to be like Lingus because I love that book. But alas, it wasn't.🥺 Joharis July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm You should definitely try reading Desert Rose hookups by Meka James, it's also just plain erotica but it's so fun and super short Nataliya Chepurnova July 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm I totally agree with your review of the roommate by Rosie Donon. I expected more development of both of their family issues. And I was really annoyed how all of a sudden Clara was like I love him, and then it was like two years later they are married. I just wanted more. Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
