I did read 2 Callaway books for it. Her books have such personality in them. Laura July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Thanks for a fun week! I really enjoyed Olivia & the Masked Duke — the writing, and especially the two main characters. I think this book really sells ideas that exist in other books but you sort of shrug and "accept" for the sake of reading the book but don't really buy. Example: the hero feels like the woman who's interested in him, and he in turn is interested in, is "too good" for him, that he'll besmirch her somehow by being with her, so he must stay away. We've seen this false idea that the hero has in books plenty of times and has to get over. But in this book, I really believe why he would think so, and why he'd be right to do so. Her parents know a bit about him and would agree with him, and try to hint to her. So I loved that aspect of this book. Also read & liked Kerrigan Byrne's Duke with the Dragon Tattoo — really excellent. (I approached it with trepidation; it's book 6 in a series that had diminishing pleasures. LOVED book 1, really enjoyed book 2, liked 3, was OK with book 4, got bored with 5… and now am excited to have loved book 6! Highly recommend. I also have Wisteria Society and am going to read it this week, although too many people whose opinions I respect really really didn't like it! Reader's abode July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am I really loved anna Harrington Justin Chen July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Pino Daeni's illustrations are amazing—I even collected a couple of his non-historical romance stepbacks Emmie Must July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am You are always so great in the readathon reading and reposting our stories 😘 L Belle July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am The Beast of Blackthorne Hall and his fossil hunter…😍 Amanda Quick 😍 siwe July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am I'm really curious about If the Duke Demands, it sounds like a nice time. This was great to watch and you look amazing! 💘 BookZeey July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Ravished and AQ's entire HR backlist is such a fun read. Try the books starting with M next (mischief, mistress and mystique) as well as the Vanza books, those are some of my abs favs and def light hearted HR goodness. Isamar Moreno July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Amanda quick is like a hidden gem. No one talks about her books but hers are never slow paced (imo) there's always a mysterious quality to her stories but it doesn't over-shadow the romance A Hashemi July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Totally agree with you about “if the duke demands” he was so childish. I really love Grace callaway writing and my most favorite are: Her Prodigal Passion, The Duke Identity, Regarding the Duke and The Lady Who Came in from the Cold. I really love you recommendations and reviews. Most of the time it matches with mine, before you I was lost because whenever I wanted to read a really good book not any book it was hard to find or pick one that is good and not a trap. But since knowing you and your channel I always comes back to your recommendation.Love you & take care. Occasional Reader July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am "If the Duke Demands" sounds like a fun read Storm Reads July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am I gave Olivia and the Masked Duke 3 stars because I got tired of feelinggv like the author was trying to make it seem like I should be shocked about the age gap but it's a historical and that happens all the time back then, but I am interested in book two.I am in the middle of The Wisteria Society book and its different, going to keep going but even at 8% in it's very weird and I am just not sure.My favorite book I read for the readathon was The Wallflower Wager by Tessa Dare I laughed so much! Joharis July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am I was so excited for lady scoundrels! The plot sounded super amazing and the romance had so much potential but it was soooo not my thing Crystal's Bookish Life July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Your whole look in this vid Lacey is CHEF'S KISS beautiful! 😍 Jessica Lyn Young July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am it's so fun to see this new gen discovering Amanda Quick! Dangerous is my favorite and Angelstone is my favorite Sebastian. If you like Lord of Scoundrels, Prudence manages Angelstone as well as Jessica did with Dain 😉 Maida Khalid July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am I love that OatMD is based on Charlie's Angels…I don't think I've read a "retelling" based on that. bookswithsamantha July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Okay Lacey LOOKING GOOD 🔥 your shirt is SO SO cute! bookswithsamantha July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Need to read some more Grace Callaway books 👏 Holly Miller July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am So agree with your observation about the trade paperbacks with illustrations marketed as "romance" when alot of them don't have a proper HEA or the romance isn't the central focus. I tend to avoid them as a result and mostly just pick up covers with actual models either photographed or photoshopped. Great video! Judith Sanchez July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Lacey know that Avon had had some books with titles Avon Treasures is a title that mean that books are a one of the best. How do you can give a video with the titles that I can buy it. I am trying to find in the internet Avon but I can not found one of the books. I ask as a favor if you can find some books it is in the background of the book. Judith Sanchez July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am I read for the dukes eyes only for me but it was not my cup of tea ☕️. Now I have doubts to read other of her books 📚. S P July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am You look nice Lacey 🙂 Princess of Paperback July 26, 2021 at 5:37 am Flying houses????
