OMG that’s great!!!! Congratulations 🎊🎉🍾🎊. I’ve never read her books 📚. But I’m going to start reading her very first book “Spendid”. I just got “The Duke and I” just recently!! My Mom’s favorites were Mary Balogh and Julia Quinn.

Wow you're a trooper! Julia Quinn has been very hit or miss for me, I learned that the hard way with her backlist after reading the Bridgerton series. lol I agree about your comment about her tendency with the banter, it sometimes works and other times doesn't for me. Sometimes it borders on childish for me. Also I have to ask, is that a hardcover of Lover Awakened I spy on your bookshelf behind you? 👀 If so, WHERE did you find a copy? Hardcovers are nearly impossible to find now.

I did a JQ read through too, but urgh Mr Cavendish I presume is a 1 star. Far too much repetition between the lost Duke. I love ten things and the smythe smith 1-3 but 4 throws me off…..

hey lacey! i read the bridgertons in january after enjoying the series and i'm working on reading pretty much all of her books. i read the bevelstokes, the rokesbys (so fun!), the smythe-smith quartet, the splendid trilogy (i agree, not her best), and i'm currently reading the lost duke of wyndham. i think alex ridgely is the biggest asshole ever. emma deserves better.

I gave The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever a 1 star review too 🤢 The hero was NOT it and the heroine was a total doormat.

Julia was my intro to historicals and I enjoyed her books because they were simple and light and introduced the whole genre to me, I have read around 90% of her books

Eloise’s story is my favorite too but I don’t know if it’s just me but doesn’t Eloise also reminds you of her aunt Billy Bridgeton those two have a mind of their own and can’t really stand still. ☺️
