I did not like Vicious or You but I definitely won't forget what they were about. I felt like I hated those stories. They kind of make you feel trapped. I really felt like that while reading You. I felt really uncomfortable even though I love horror, my fave genre. That one was too intense, but I do love the T.V. show. I've met Penn Badgley, he was nice in LAX airport, my mom took a pic of us haha.

Hmm, I would recommend Warbreaker before Mistborn. It is a single book and free on the internet, so it is a smaller commitment.

My commentary on your books:
I loved the Nightingale. Soooo good.
As soon as you said, " If you love Fleetwood Mac…" I know I had to buy that book. It's been on my list, but now it's on its way!
Bear Town is so amazing, Everything I've read by Bachman is amazing.
Eleanor is one of my favorite characters. Have you read Britt-Marie was here? It's by Frederik Bachman and it's kind of similar to Eleanor. She's first introduced in one of his other books as a minor character.

Love this whole list! So much ya on YouTube so itās refreshing to see a list of other genres! I have read every book youāve recommended lol. I have a few suggestions for you: the Alice network and all the light we cannot see for the historical fiction genre. No exit by Taylor Adams for the thriller genre. And lastly shelter in place by Nora Roberts technically a romance book but honestly sooooo much more then the romance.

The Nightingale became my favorite book of all time. It is amazing, I never realized how much you can feel reading. The tears were genuine and I couldn't stop crying until I finished the book. It is the first one I think when someone ask for a recommendation and I have the urge to give a copy to everyone that I love who loves to read as much as me.

Can i get some advice? I personally dont like books that are all about characters- i want more plot. I like suspense/thriller. Is there anyway of knowing beforehand if a book is more about the character than plot?? For example, ive read so many books like Watching You, The Perfect Girlfriend. Woman in the Window ect ect & theyāre just all so boring

Thank you for this review! It was helpful to hear you define the different genres and for you to review adult fiction and not young adult books, as that seems to be many of the reviews on YouTube. Also, your voice and way of speaking are very nice. (Not to sound creepy!)

I would love a good Adult recommendation for my next book. I enjoy reading the hard subject matters that stir up all kinds of emotions. I feel we are so desensitized by all we view online & tv that it takes that hardcore page turner to really grab you. (whether it's an Alcatraz story, racisim, abuse on a southern plantation, starving orphan, prostitution etc) …. just a truly good read that punches… I'd really appreciate it. š

Iām not sure if you check your comments on past videos of yours, but I was wondering how I can find āchick litā books at my local library? My library is sorted by author, not genre. Itās just a lot trying to go around and find books written by chick lit authors. I feel like I hit a dead-end with every author. It would be nice if they just sorted the books by genre, and then by author within the genre. Any suggestions? Also, their website isnāt quite up- to- date. I tried looking on there.

I'm personally very confused by the admiration Circe gets… I genuinely thought the writing was lazy, the characters were extremely unlikable and unrelatable, and most importantly none of the mini stories nor the ending "paid off" in any way. Again, just my personal harsh opinion š

Iāve always gone for more adult fiction for as long as I can remember, and Iām a reader who doesnāt care about the genreāif itās well written and gripping, then Iāll take it. Hell, my first adult books were to kill a mockingbird, lord of the rings, the hobbit, Romeo and Juliet, and Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (I also read Watchmen around the same time as Girl with the dragon tattooāaround 11/12/13). Iāve noticed that a lot of booktubers tend to lean towards novels that are MG/YAānothing wrong with that, but I think the case is is that most of their audience tends to be geared towards that genre or is around the age demographic or because they are young adults themselvesāthough I tended to have a fondness (and still do) for adult fiction with child/teen narrators/protagonists (just because the protagonist is young and around the age range doesnāt necessarily mean itās YA). I think that maybe reading from a very very early age might be that wayāmy mom used to, when I was a baby/early toddler, put board books in my crib for me to entertain myself if I woke myself up.
