If you're looking for football romances that are not too heavy on the sports, you might try Susan Elizabeth Phillips' Chicago Stars series. I particularly loved the first five:

I recently read the Holiday with the Wongs series and LOVED every single one of them and laughed all the way through them. Jackie Lau is an auto-buy for me after those!
Re Tiffany Reisz, have you read The Headmaster? I picked that one up last year after hearing Bree Hill talk about it and think that one definitely fits with the Autumn vibe. TFS 🙂
