Some scifi/fantasy YA/adult recs by Black authors with Black MCs and (I think) Black LIs:
A River of Royal Blood, Dread Nation, Daughters of Nri, The Weight of the Stars, A song of Wraiths and Ruin, Kingdom of Souls, Children of Blood and Bone, The Gilded Ones, Black Leopard Red Wolf…
And just about anything by Nnedi Okorafor or N.K. Jemisin is great.

I'm not black so I don't really think I should be speaking on this matter but a read a great mystery book called "Zora and me" and a majority of the characters are black, that's not why I liked the book, of course, the story was really nice and you can get attached to almost any character.

Read two of the four I bought because of this video and I can't stop thinking about what you said about you liking "boring" books. I have had such a hard time finding books I actually like… but I realize that's the kind of books I like too. Characters discovering something about themselves… so thank you kenya ❤

I shop on Amazon because it’s cheaper and it’s a wider range of authors. It is sad that black romance isn’t out in the open for us to see but there are many black romance authors!! I love books as well 💗
