Thanks for putting all these books on my radar. Not sure when I'll get to them as I only just finished Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe which was one of the first books you recommended to me about 8 months ago. I imagine I'll be playing catch up with your reading for many years to come.

Goodness, the cover of The Life of the Mind is really atrocious – but I'm so intrigued by this one. Free sounds fantastic!
Here for the Stanley Tucci love 🙌💚 Recently watched him in an interview during the Hay Festival, he was so lovely 😊

I completely trust Moss to write about Covid in a nuanced and thought-provoking way. I also agree that her books are best on audio!

If I was listening to Stanley Tucci before bed my dreams would be of an extremely raunchy nature 😅

Jesse Wente’s book has been on my radar! Seems like essential reading for me as a Canadian.

OMG I had no idea Stanley Tucci had a memoir… I loved his cook book years ago. Totally didn't mind severely injuring my ankle a couple of weeks ago because I think Stanley came rushing/running past us. I know he lived in one of the neighbouring areas.. if it was him i can see why hes the internet boyfriend . Very slim well dressed and attractive looking. Willing to take any questions at this time..

I think it was Women in Translation month recently? Although there were some men there too.

I am really between books at the moment and don't really have anything TBR so thank you for the ideas. I'm pushing through Second Place by Rachel Cusk on the Libby app but I'm not getting along very well with it!

I've read Llosa and he is a brilliant author, although my friends from South America don't see him as particularly interesting or important as he does not write about the experiences of working class people. Llosa is also politically a right- winger. He has some HC libertarian views on economy.

OMG I didn't know Marcin Wicha got translated! This actually reminded me I have to finish reading it, but I feel like you'll really enjoy it 💕 It definitely delivers on it's themes and it's quite evocative of contemporary Poland 🙌
