Thank you for speaking up about the rise of anti-Asian American attacks and hostility. It is so important to spread awareness ❤️

Lacey may I make some requests? I’ve been binging your videos and would love a 2021 update on grumpy/brooding heroes, groveling romances, and any books with accidental/secret pregnancy. Thank you!!

Great recommendations. I really enjoyed Faker by Sarah Smith (Filipino-American). The love interest is an absolute cinnamon roll. Another favorite is Vanessa Yu’s Magical Paris Tea Shop by Roselle Lim (Chinese-American).

    ❤️ 🧡 💛

I LOVED The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel and can't wait for book 2 this year. I also LOVED Holidays with the Wongs by Jackie Lau and am looking forward to reading more by her. Same with Helen Hoang. I've been reading Alisha Rai since her first indie works waaay back when and The Beast of Beswick was my first ever regency romance… after 20+ years of romance reading lol! Most of the others you mentioned are also on my TBR… Stay safe and TFS 🙂

And a few more that I've come across recently include Mona Shroff, Sara Desai, Sapna Bhog (she has a historical with a stunning cover called Dare to Be a Duchess) and Mina V. Esguerra.

Also, Aliette de Bodard writes fantasy and sci-fi with varying levels of romantic elements. And Zen Cho also writes fantasy, but she has a hilarious kind of romance/kind of satire called The Perilous Life of Jade Yeo which I LOVED which is a 1920s historical novella and is I think perma-free on Kobo and kindle.

Thank you so much for making this video, Lacey. I loved the Kiss Quotient series and oh so patiently waiting on Quan's book, b/c WOW can Helen Hoang write. The Trouble With Hating You was one of my top favorite books of last year. There are so many Asian authors I didn't know about. Oooh, these upcoming sounds amazing; I'm a sucker for a good food pun title and The Donut Trap has definitely caught my eye.

I have been making my way through Asian Romances too as a break from all the Korean dramas. Reading accidentally engaged and so excited to join in on the Liveshow. As an Indian, I have been nodding to everything that's been happening in the book! Asian families everywhere have so many similarities.
Great recommendations!! Can't wait to read them!

Okay Ruby Lang’s book has me interested since I love the second chance romance trope. Does the series need to be read in order?
