I love enemies to lovers too lol! There’s just so much you can do with that trope. Contemporary romance is not my usual, but you have some interesting ones here. I added a couple to my ever growing list. Thanks, Abby! Gregory LaPerche July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm I know none of these books. Is this what it's like for Abby's dad to watch these videos? Lol. Well met seems very funny, and even though I haven't been to a Ren fair either, it gives me D&D vibes which is awesome. Happy Valentines day! Literature Science Alliance July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm I am still exploring romance and have not read any contemporary but I have heard good things about You had me at Hola! SarahAsYouWish July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm We have very similar tastes in romance, which is also not one of my favorite genres. All of my favorites are on your list. I finished the last book in The Simple Wild series which just came out and really loved it. I would also recommend The Girl He Used to Know by Tracy Garvis Graves. The protagonist in that one is on the spectrum, and it was more than “just a romance.” I wouldn’t read too many reviews first because they sometimes contain a spoiler for the story. Also, I tried a regency romance for the first time last year and was thoroughly impressed by how how fun and witty it was. The one I read was The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare. I thought it would just be OK, but I truly enjoyed it. Anil Kumar July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm Amazing thumbnailN great content as wellI love these rankings, it gives a good list in the genre Joana Sousa July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm i also almost never read romances except around christmas time (why if i pick up a cheesy book i pick the CHEESIEST!)but i do want to read beach read. it sounds like something that i would enjoy!!uh yes the flatshare also sounds cool (you sure you dont like romance joana?) mer reads July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm yesss I love beach read!!! I want to get to well met and birthday girl. i always forget about romance and then i'll binge multiple books in the genre back to back 😂 Johanna July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm I've actually read Birthday Girl, which was a massive stretch for me. I do enjoy forbidden love and age differences tropes. Like you, I fear the author's other books might be too much for me. I've been wanting to read Well Met because I grew up loving renaissance fairs! I may get to that someday. Great video and perfect for Valentine's Day weekend! The Nerdy Narrative July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm Romance isn’t usually one I go for, but I do really want to read Beach Read. I’ve seen it mentioned a lot in the last year and every time someone brings it up, it piques my interest. I also kinda want to read the one where the guy and girl share the same apartment – sounds hilarious Kisti Reads July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm hmmmm this has encouraged me to maybe try a contemporary romance, I may try hating game at some point 🙂 The Bookish Mom July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm Well Met is the one that I really have been interested in! Larz in the Library July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm These are some of my favorites too! The only two on your list I haven't read yet are On the Island and Birthday Girl. Age gap and taboo romances aren't really my thing, but maybe someday I will give them a try. Have you read The Kiss Quotient series by Helen Hoang or the Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert? Those are two other favorites of mine. I also liked The Unhoneymooners and Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating, both by Christina Lauren, and Kiss My Cupcake by Helena Hunting. Alicia Guzman July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm I am also not a big romance reader BUT I’ve been trying to read more romance and have miserably failed haha so I really enjoyed this video! I’ll have to check out Beach Read and the Hating Game ! Belle's Library July 12, 2021 at 5:54 pm 🧁 some wonderful romance books 💕 I am really wanting to get to Well Met soon that one sounds adorable.
