It sounds like you picked a lot of good books. I like historical fiction a lot. The only one of those I’ve read is Memoirs of a Geisha. I read it a long time ago so I don’t remember a lot about it , other than I liked it.

If you’re interested in picking up more historical fiction , may I recommend The Promise and The Glovemaker , both by Ann Weisgarber , ( the second one won a few awards ) , and Under a Dark Summer Sky by Vanessa Lafaye. ( based on a true event).

There are others I thought were also terrific . Gillespie and I by Jane Harris , The Visitors by Sally Beauman , and Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier. ( the last 2 based on true events)

I hope you enjoy all your new books . Happy Reading.

Oh Kristin Harmel is on my authors to discover list. The book of lost names and her last book are on hold at the public library. They must be popular because I’m far down in the line. 🤣

I DNF the first book in the series by Chanel Cleeton. There was an instant love trope that I couldn’t get over…

That is a super book haul! I love historical fiction, but I've limited myself to mostly WW II so I have a lot of expanding I could do in the genre. I have Annalies, Atomic Love, and Montauk if you'd like to buddy read one of them sometime. So many of your books sounded good; I'll probably be watching again to make a TBR list. The one that stood out to me was The Dress in the Window – loved the cover and it sounds good. I may have to see about getting that one. Also loved the covers of The Train to Key West and the Constable books. I have a friend who's reading the All Things series and loves them.

I have The Winter Sea on my TBR as well. When you feel ready to pick it up, I’d buddy read if you want to. Also, Memoirs of a Geisha I read 15 years ago. I’d buddy read that too when you are ready. Probably my favorite historical fiction books this year so far are Where the Lost Wander by Amy Harmon, Sparks Like Stars by Nadia Hashimi, This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger and The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. Historical Fiction is my favorite genre!

Wow I like the sound of almost all the ones you mentioned! I’d like you to read the Grace Hitchcock one. I’ve added it to my TBR list and am curious.

Historical fiction is my favorite genre and it looks like you have several good ones. Memoirs of a Geisha was very good (I read it years ago) and I LOVED Last Train from Key West. It was my first book by Chanel Cleeton and it was so good; I think you should read that one asap. WWII historical fiction is not a favorite era of mine.

Nice haul! I haven’t read most of those and I love historical fiction. The ones that sounded intriguing to me was The Paragon Hotel & Mrs. Hemingway, can’t wait to hear what you think. 🙂

Good Morning. I love HF. Just finished The Women of Copper Country. Recommended by Book Tuber and published author (I add that as I was embarrassed not knowing she has five books. I read Memory's Hostage, and totally enjoyed it.) I'm working on getting away from WWII. I DNFd Annelies. I was troubled by sensationalizing Anne's death. It affected me badly. At around the same time I read Renia's Diary, and her family released her diary. It was so private. I look forward to your HF journey. Im going back through your vid and see what jumps out at me. Happy Good Reading.

Welcome to the historical fiction club! 🙂
I've never read Memoirs of a Geisha, though it's on the list that never shortens. Sigh. I'm also interested in The Winter Sea; again that list! I have multiple Kristin Harmel books, ask me if I've read any of them. I also have Atomic Love from BOTM, you need not ask if I've read it. I have the best of intentions, just not enough hours in the day to do all the things. 🙂
