Yay! You found Ilona Andrews! I love all of their series for the world building, great characterization, and fabulous humour. They completely reminded me of the In Death series, which has the same kind of humour and strong woman leader. Thanks so much!

I just finished the first Kate Daniels book and there was no steam… so when she says if your expecting instant gratification you’re going to be disappointed she’s spot on lol 😂

Tessa Bailey is a very good story builder. She has a book (series) called Unfixable. It's a series end book, the others are very good as well, but this one is my favorite.

I'm currently reading Kate Daniels as well! Just finished Magic Bleeds, will move to Magic Slays soon. However, if you loved the writing style of Ilona Andrews, you should check out their other series, The Hidden Legacy. Read it last year and it's the series that got me out of a reading slump that lasted for YEARS. Amazing characters all around, intriguing plot.. and a bit heavier on the romance.

Uff, I started the Tessa Bailey's one, and so far I simply detest the heroine, posh and spoilt 😣 Not sure if I will be able to continue it!
I really liked 'People you meet on vacation' 💗
I will probably start the Magic Bites series, never read anything by Ilona Andrews and by comparing this to CC you sold it to me 😊
